Since its inception, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo has become a high-end platform focusing on the international development of intellectual property (IP), showcasing splendid achievements in China’s IP, and transforming high-value IP.

To give full play to IP, improve the effective management of IP, and promote the trade of geographical indications products, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo will be renamed the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo and International Geographical Indications Products Trade Expo”. The Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation (Guangdong Intellectual Property Administration), together with the Intellectual Property Department of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Economic and Technological Development Bureau of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region, and the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, will convene the 5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Trade Expo and International Geographical Indications Products Trade Expo (hereafter referred to as the 5th GBAIP & IGIP Expo) from now on in Guangzhou.
