The National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) released the Notice about Launching Targeted Protection for the Emblems of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games to require more efforts to enhance copyright protection for the emblems. Unless otherwise provided by the laws and regulations, no agencies or individuals are allowed to use the emblems without the approval of Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (“Beijing Organizing Committee”).
As stated in the Notice, the emblems of the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (“the emblems” for short) are the most distinctive logos for these two games and have been registered by Beijing Organizing Committee for copyright protection.
The Notice said that NCAC decided to launch the targeted protection over the emblems starting from December 16, 2017.
