GAC takes the lead to formulate Framework of Standards on Cross-border E-commerce

On January 9, it was learned from the briefing of the 1st World Customs Conference on Cross-border E-commerce that, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) was taking the lead to formulate the Framework of Standards on Cross-border E-commerce. It will become the first guidance document of WCO on the regulation and service of cross-border e-commerce, contributing “Chinese Wisdom” to cross-border e-commerce for sustainable development.

As introduced, the 1st World Customs Cross-border E-commerce Conference will be held on February 9 and 10 in Beijing. Jointly sponsored by General Administration of Customs (GAC) and World Customs Organization (WCO), the conference is themed on “innovation, inclusiveness, prudence, coordination for the promotion of sustainable cross-border e-commerce development”. The conference will release its outcome in the form of Beijing Announcement, so as to convey the consensus and aspiration of the world customs and other stakeholders on global cross-border e-commerce development to the outside world.
