Symposium on Patent Enforcement and Cooperation Mechanism in Importation and Exportation Held

Recently, the 2017 Symposium on Patent Enforcement and Cooperation Mechanism in Importation and Exportation was held in Qingdao. Related officials from the Intellectual Property Office of Shandong Province attended the symposium. IPR Experts and law enforcement officers from the customs departments were invited to attend the symposium.

A report titled “Subject Report on Establishing and Improving Import and Export Patent Enforcement Mechanism Against the Background of One Belt and One Road” was discussed at the symposium. Opinions and suggestions on the patent administrative departments’ assistance to the ruling of infringements, patent judgment organizations’ assistance to the customs’ disclosing evidence as well as the cooperation mechanism of information sharing in-between were raised at the symposium. Then the attendees visited the IPR Protection Center of China Customs to understand the results the customs had achieved through striking IPR infringements.
